Director/Producer Gerald Salmina.
This is a dramatic and awe-inspiring feature documentary following the 2007 attempt by a team of men to climb the 18,000 feet high Mt. St. Elias in Alaska and then ski the longest vertical descent in history.
This is their incredible journey up a mountain known for storms that materialize in moments and last for weeks. Pushed by equal parts determination and pure obsession, the men climb with the knowledge that other men died trying to do the same thing.
The backdrop to their struggle is the stunning mountain scenery, which is as sublimely beautiful as it is terrifying. On the big screen, expect to feel all the vertigo and pure exhilaration along with the climbers as they battle the mountain.
In his first big screen film, director Salmina takes us on a cinematic journey where unparalleled physical and mental pressure pushes the team to the absolute limit, where heroism cannot easily be distinguished from folly.
They face situations which can only be mastered in the face of courage and trust, where reason is abandoned and where you hope Lady Luck smiles on you.
Expect to have your breath taken away.
